Who qualifies

We list licensed clinicians and pre-licensed clinicians practicing under supervision — each with a badge that says plainly which they are. Credentials we recognize include:

• Licensed clinicians (psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent) with formal DBT training
• DBT-Linehan Board of Certification (DBT-LBC) certified clinicians and certified programs
• Behavioral Tech / Linehan Institute Intensive or Foundational training graduates
• Clinicians running an adherent program: individual therapy, skills group, phone coaching, consultation team
• DBT-informed clinicians who use the skills without the full program structure (badged as informed, not adherent)
• DBT skills group leaders and Prolonged Exposure / DBT-PE trained clinicians
• Pre-licensed associates on a DBT team under supervision (in-training badge)
• Licensed clinicians and supervised associates only — we do not list unlicensed skills coaches
• Another DBT credential or program role? Apply — we review everything.

Pre-licensed associates must be registered with their board and practicing under a named supervisor; their profiles are badged as in training. US-based practitioners first; international listings are coming — apply and you'll be first in line.

How it works

How listings are ordered

Nobody can pay to rank. Results are ordered by how complete a profile is — mostly the things a client needs to decide whether to write: a photo, a real bio, your fees, whether you're taking new clients, and how you can be paid — with a daily rotation so similar profiles take turns at the top.

Once a year we ask you to confirm you're still practicing; saving your profile is the confirmation. A profile nobody has confirmed in thirteen months is hidden until it is saved again, and a profile whose license has expired is hidden until it is renewed — so clients never write to a listing that has gone quiet.
